Ear infections, like most other infections are the result of an immune system dysfunction. It is most common for young children to get ear infections and there is a direct correlation between these infections and food allergies, primarily to dairy (cow’s milk products and the protein casein). Many parents find that putting tubes in their child’s ears will provide minimal assistance or does nothing at all. Obviously tubes do not address the problem. As over one-half of the immune system is located in the digestive tract in the form of ‘healthy’ bacteria, the prolonged and extensive use of antibiotics will only lead to further immune suppression.
