Your nails are a good reflection of your health and here’s the rundown:
- Soft or tear easily? = lack of protein in your diet
- Dry, brittle or break easily? = lack of calcium (make sure you read up on that on this site for proper type and dose)
- Horizontal or vertical ridges? = lack of calcium or thyroid gland problem
- Thin, flat, “spoon-shaped”? = Iron or some other red blood cell nutrient deficiency
- White spots or bands? = often a zinc deficiency, but could also be a toxic liver problem
- Yellow nail bed? = often a need for vitamin E, but read about that in the Newsletter section first
- Dark nail bed? = often a need for vitamin B12
- Hangnails? = mineral deficiency, often due to adrenal gland stress; overall you’re too stressed!
